Description
This is a vintage Jaxa wrench (today’s Jaxa wrenches are distributed by Bergeon) used by watchmakers and watch repair people to open screw back watch cases. These case back tools have three adjustable holders that accept different size bits depending on the particular style watch back you need to open. This tool only comes with two of the bits, but don’t despair, you can easily acquire replacements at any watch material house or by buying one of the generic wrenches just for the bits.
The reason I wouldn’t recommend that you just buy a generic adjustable wrench is because the machining tolerances are so much greater on the cheap wrenches that you get some play in the bits. If you have expensive watches or even watches that you simply don’t want to scratch the heck out of, then you certainly don’t want wobbly case opening tools. One slip and… oops.
