Vintage watches are seldom found in minty condition.  Even more rare is for a vintage watch to be in good condition and include the original box.  This watch comes not only in its original box (both inner and outer boxes), but with all of the original papers and the hang tag.  The plastic wrap has never been taken off of the buckle that’s attached to the unmolested, beautiful beads of rice bracelet.  Heck, it even comes with the original silica gel desiccant pack that has kept the moisture out over all of these years.

For a vintage collector, and most especially for a Seiko specialist, this represents the holy grail.  In its current, new old stock condition, this is a highly collectible and investment worthy package.  They’re not making any more of these, and with this one, it’s like getting in a time machine and picking up a brand new one from the dealer.  These opportunities simply don’t happen.  Ever.

Dial: Original, factory finished dial is a real beauty in silver with a fine linen texture.  Date window at 3 O’Clock.   Signed  ”Japan 6117, 6010T AD” at 6 O’Clock.

Movement: Automatic winding, G117A  17 Jewel movement.

The original water resistance test sticker is still on the back of the watch case.  It has never been opened since it left the factory.  If you choose to wear this piece, you will want to have it serviced and have the gaskets changed.
