Case: Chrome over base metal case with snap back. Case is in original condition with minimal chrome loss. The plating loss is in a few spots around the bezel and caseback. For its age, it’s in remarkable condition.
Signed back cover “Hanhart Made in Germany,” adds to wrist comfort and flips up, out of the way in order to access the snap back and movement.
The unique feature of this watch is the rotating bezel which is used to set the alarm time. The alarm time indicator actually turns with the bezel and is used with the outer dial ring that is marked in 10, 30, and 50 minute increments for each hour.
Crown: Original, unsigned crown.
Dial: Original, factory finished dial is a real beauty with aged luminous hour indicators. Signed “Germany” at 6 O’Clock.
Crystal: Acrylic crystal recently polished
Movement: Manual winding Hanhart calibre 301, a 17 Jewel movement.
My master watchmaker has performed a full inspection and servicing on this watch. The watch was completely disassembled, the appropriate parts were cleaned in the ultrasonic and then oiled using the finest quality Swiss Moebius oils. The mainspring was replaced. It was regulated and is keeping good time.
This piece is not water resistant, please take care to keep it dry.
