Description

Nice watchmaker’s  measuring gauge, used for precise measurements, especially for finding the thickness of a material or measuring watch screws and parts.  I cleaned up this tool, lightly oiled it, and applied a very thin coating of beeswax to protect it from corrosion for years to come.  It works as designed, and looks quite handsome just sitting on the work bench or as part of a collection.  The spring mechanism operates very smoothly and has lots of “spring back” to it.  The two jaws close completely.  Nice vintage patina.
